First of all the person is innocent until proven guilty. You publish the names prior to any verdict. What if the person is totally innocent and loses their job and or customers because you wrongfully published their name?
The act of getting a DUI is a brutal life changing experience, a very personal circumstance for someone who may be sick and wish to get well.
They have to lose their job on top of being publicly humiliated. My boyfriend was listed in your paper and his case was completely thrown out by the DA; the arrest had no merit. He has lost his job and is now losing his home. You should only publish names after a guilty verdict. I am pretty sure you will not publish this, as to evade public humiliation.

But will you then tell his employer to re-hire him? Or give him a job yourselves? She's right. Instead of posting the arrests for DUI by name, how about the convictions. But that'd be too much work, right and the scum deserve it, right? Pfah!

i agree - just because someone has been arrested, does not mean they are guilty. what's the point of publishing their names as dui? just to embarrass them i suppose. btw, i have never been arrested.
