Local artist creates home portraits

By From page HS7 | February 14, 2014

Mark Davidson, a former El Dorado Hills resident and local artist working under a “California Heritage Art” theme, introduces a new unique artwork feature: Real Estate Art, in which he creates an original commissioned painting on canvas depicting a homeowner’s real property.

Davidson is nationally known for his artwork over the last 20 years, primarily with a focus on classic American cars in classic California settings. His unique new art focus, by commission only, is for homeowners looking to preserve the image and special memories of their primary or secondary home. He has enjoyed working with area homeowners in the past to complement his art with their distinctive homes.

Davidson has worked closely with the local real estate industry for many years and has been recognized as “Affiliate of the Year” for both the Sacramento and El Dorado Association of Realtors.

Davidson is also a historian of note who just recently unveiled his new original oil painting, “Welcome”, at Sutter’s Fort State Park. This features Sutter’s Fort (also John Sutter’s home) in the mid-1840s prior to the Gold Discovery.
