The El Dorado County Association of Realtors and its Honor Our Troops committee invite community members to join them for breakfast on Saturday, Jan. 25.
The “all-American breakfast” —eggs, toast, sausage, ham, hash browns, hot cakes, biscuits & gravy, juice, milk and coffee — raises funds for the committee’s care packages sent to El Dorado County soldiers serving in war zones, honorourtroops.us. New this year, enjoy a Bloody Mary with your breakfast; the cocktail will be available for purchase at the bar.
“Currently HOT sends out packages three times a year filled with cards from (El Dorado County) groups, local publications, candy, socks, toiletries, games and much more,” according to the website. “If you know of a military service person serving in one of the war zones, please contact us with their name, mailing address, their local contact person’s name, address, phone number and e-mail address.”
The Honor Our Troops breakfast runs from 7 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Veteran’s Memorial Building, 130 Placerville Drive in Placerville (next to the fairgrounds). Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for children. Purchase tickets in advance by calling EDCAR at 530-676-0161 or Cyndi Romano at 916-207-4194 or buy them at the door.
