Pettit Gilwee of Sacramento has been named the director of marketing at Lyon Real Estate, the No. 1 brokerage in annual home sales in the greater Sacramento region.

Gilwee is a senior-level business leader and strategist with a 17-year track record in both the public and private sectors, specializing in planning, directing and evaluating public information programs, consumer marketing projects, as well as corporate communications campaigns.

She will serve as part of Lyon Real Estate’s leadership team and will be responsible for the company’s brand management, digital communications, advertising, public relations, special events and social media efforts, as well as niche campaigns and programs.

“We are pleased to welcome Pettit Gilwee to the Lyon Real Estate team,” said President and Chief Operating Officer Pat Shea. “Pettit’s extensive experience in building integrated marketing and communications campaigns makes her a winning addition to our company and the right person to continue to move Lyon Real Estate forward.”

Prior to her position at Lyon Real Estate, Gilwee owned and operated a marketing and public relations firm for more than a decade, serving a wide variety of regional and global clients, such as Chase International, the North Lake Tahoe Visitors Bureaus, Visit California, the Truckee Donner Public Utility District and the Tahoe Rim Trail Association.

Gilwee has also worked with a number of high-profile state departments and companies, including the California Public Employees’ Retirement System, Intel and Vision Service Plan.

Gilwee graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from the University of California, Davis, and a Master of Science degree in public relations from the University of Denver. She has been recognized by both the Public Relations Society of America and the International Association of Business Communicators for her work.
