Practical real estate class offered

By From page HS21 | January 17, 2014

Nearly everyone seems to deal with some aspect of homeownership — realty considerations, renting or related financial considerations.

Since a major portion of one’s income or wealth goes into real estate, it’s valuable to know some of the principles. Learning unique vocabulary and subject areas is important for making the best decision. Vast resources of information are available on the Internet, news features, etc., but without a basic understanding, how do you interpret these resources or know what applies?

Real Estate Practice, a class offered at the El Dorado Center of Folsom Lake College this semester, is designed to teach these practical basics. Diversified subject areas cover buying, selling, investing, financing, regulations, property disclosures and legal aspects. Realtor/instructor Bud Zeller will blend his 48 years of experience with the new directions of the industry, including correlation of the business applications of social media websites for usage and resources.

In addition to personal benefits, this three-unit course is required to become a state licensed real estate agent.

For registration or admissions information call 530-642-5644 or call Bud Zeller at 530-622-0131 for other details on the class.
