American Heritage Real Estate Professionals in Cameron Park is proud to welcome its newest team member to the family — Sheryl Lindroos.

“Sheryl is not just a Realtor, she will be a great asset to our company,” according to American Heritage staff. “Her dedication, honesty and professionalism will shine and be noticed by everyone she comes in contact with.”

Sheryl captivated us with her story; we want to share it with you.

“Ten years ago, my husband Doug and our two daughters, Madison and Morgan, relocated from the Bay Area to Placerville. We wanted to move somewhere we could live above all the noise.

“Although I knew mountain living would be different from city, I was not prepared to fall in love. Since moving here ,my family has been blessed to meet some really great people. The small town atmosphere, and the loyalty and love the residents have for Placerville, is not easily duplicated. For my family and me, Placerville has become our home.

“I first started my real estate career in 2007. Yes, I was brave enough or, depending how you look at it, naive enough to step into a very challenging housing  market. Being a newbie in 2007 was no easy feat! Yet,  I feel that because the market was a challenge, I learned so much more than I would have in a fast paced market. People took time to talk with me, share their expertise and teach me the ropes.

“I have come to understand that the business of buying and selling a home is not just about finding a place to live; it is about endings and beginnings, letting go of memories and making new ones. I have also learned that everyone has a story.

“For me, personally, being a Realtor is not so much about selling homes; it is all about building relationships. Since moving to Placerville, some of my closest friends are people I have met through my profession of selling real estate.

“Recently, my family and I made a decision to rescue a very special dog, Ms. May — a Greyhound and a retired racer. She came to us all the way from Florida,  straight off the race track and she has a very special story. So, don’t be surprised if you see me around town, taking my Ms. May for a walk. If you do, be sure to stop me and ask me about her. I would love to share why she has a very special place in my heart!

“I look forward to meeting you soon!”
