Lunar Challenge

The Capricorn moon issues a challenge: What can you produce by Friday morning? This moon illuminates the road to greatness and makes all other options seem like a waste of time. Mercury and Mars will make a change on Friday. Tuesday through Thursday will be the productivity sweet spot of the week. Today is about planning.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Jealousy takes many forms. Sometimes it takes the form of meanness. Sometimes people who condemn others as “immoral” are trying to disguise their jealousy. Stay aware.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). When people don’t get back to you in a timely manner, it doesn’t mean anything about you. This is a cosmic test to see whether you can put things out of your mind and stay on task.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You’re in no mood to wander aimlessly or waste time. Before you leave the house, you like to know why. If the reason isn’t good enough, you’d rather be at home.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). What is worth doing? You’ll figure it out by putting prospective endeavors to the test. To each item you will pose the question: “Who cares?” The answer must include you and at least five other people to pass the test.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You want to be a part of a certain group of friends, and right now you don’t really know the reason why. Getting clear on your motives will be key to your social success.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). It may be difficult to distinguish the necessary details from the needless ones, but that may be beside the point. There’s a great deal of fun in getting up close and seeing what’s really going on.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You appreciate silence, and you’ll enjoy doing a lot with very few words now. Your face tells a story whether or not you choose to actually move your mouth and let the narrative out.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Keeping yourself in line isn’t easy. In fact, it’s one of the more difficult things you’ll do today. But if you can master that, you’ll be able to lead anyone else you might encounter.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Money means something to you, and it’s that meaning, not the money itself, that is important to you. Once you get a need filled, you may find that you no longer need the money you thought you needed.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Do you realize there are people who use your name as a kind of magic key? Your network has real value. No one knows exactly the people you know in the way that you know them.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Being memorable will be important. You’ll earn repeat business, be called on when opportunity arises, or find another benefit to being first on someone’s mind.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Material wealth impresses you to some extent even though you never let it cloud your vision of what’s truly important. To be truly rich, a person must have happiness.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (May 27). A spirit of generosity and togetherness prevails this year. June features joint ventures and new alliances. In July, something you’ve worked on many years finally comes to fruition. September brings a new goal and a determined team. You’ll make money with your presenting skills and salesmanship. Love signs are Pisces and Sagittarius. Your lucky numbers are: 6, 40, 33, 9 and 28.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: “I was born on May 16, 1973. I want to start a business. Is this a good time? Will I be successful?”

With your sun and Mercury in Taurus, your strength in business is your determined attitude. You are patient and will take the baby steps necessary to be successful. Your moon in Scorpio suggests that your motives in business may be deeper than the usual reasons. Knowing why you really want this and what you hope to gain from the experience will give you power. Are you trying to show your parents you’re strong and independent? Are you competing with a friend? Does success symbolize something else to you? The answers to these questions will help you make a plan that fulfills your true needs and wants, and will keep you from making foolish choices.

Through June 22nd, Saturn forms a harmonious triangle to your natal Mars, indicating that your hard work and experience will culminate in success. But Neptune conjoined with Mars warns you to look at the higher purpose of your business. Starting out with the right idea will be important. Who will benefit from your product or service, and how can you best serve the needs of these people? Keep asking yourself, “Is this the best we can do for the customer?”

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Gemini “Glee” star Chris Colfer has said that being bullied in school made him quick-witted and faster on his feet. These also happen to be the characteristics for which Geminis are known. Colfer was born when the moon was in reflective Cancer, offering a deep well of emotion to fuel his singing. Saturn, Uranus and Neptune aligned in Capricorn indicates both business and financial acumen.
