Moon and Mercury in Pisces
The Moon and Mercury in Pisces suggest that you’ll be wise to consider the larger lay of the land in today’s decision-making process. For instance, whether or not you say “hi” to strangers should have more to do with the population of the town you are in than with your personal degree of friendliness. Context is king under these skies.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). You won’t be able to teach someone a lesson. Sure your methods are sound and your capabilities mighty. But unfortunately, people don’t generally learn lessons they don’t want to learn. Save your energy; focus elsewhere.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). If the signals you send are mixed by design, you’ll be most charismatic and intriguing. If they are mixed because you don’t yet know yourself or what you want, the effect will be off-putting.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You can seldom detect what is going on inside a house from the outside. There could be a three-ring circus inside or the place could be vacant. People are like that, too. You have to “knock on the door” to find out the situation.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). It’s better to have many people speaking kindly of you among themselves than it is to have one person speaking kindly of you to many. People like to discover your good qualities for themselves.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). The Swedish proverb suggests, “Don’t let your sorrow come higher than your knees,” and yet, your sorrow doesn’t tend to start in your toes. It starts in your mind, and can be stopped there, too.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Stubbornness and determination are essentially the same force — a will at full throttle, which can be applied to slamming on the breaks or pressing on the gas.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Because others have seen you be polite and calm in stressful situations, you will be entrusted with an important role. You don’t have to know everything about this job going in. You’ll learn as you go.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Your life will be made easier if there is at least one person who will do as you request without much hassle. You’ve earned this respect and should use it to your advantage instead of modestly declining as you usually do.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You’re likely to be generous by mistake today because you just happen to be where there are people in need, and willing and able to give what is needed. Generosity, even by mistake, still counts.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). The acquisition of facts does not make a person educated. So if you can’t remember all of the data thrown at you today, don’t worry. It’s the practical application of but a few key facts that will matter.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). A technique you might use to forge friendly bonds is to compliment the unique accomplishment of another. In doing so, you will raise this person’s opinion of you and quickly bond as part of the same team.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You tend not to want the attention of people who make you have to prove yourself before they will let you in their “club.” These people are simply not keen or observant enough to warrant your attention.
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Feb. 1). This month is filled with things so pleasant you don’t want them to end, and yet when they do, they are followed by even more pleasant things. March through June feature your focus on a special talent, and you’ll be paid for it in July. June brings new expressions of love and a shared adventure. Aries and Scorpio adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 40, 20, 14, 6 and 2.
CAPRICORN SECRET SUPER POWER BREAKDOWN:
The Obvious: If there’s one thing that Capricorn is born knowing about, it’s power — who has it, who doesn’t and why. The sign of tradition and public standing has a talent for strategizing effective power plays.
The Uncanny: Capricorn can enter any room of people and determine quickly the right place to be. The goat can sense who is important to know and will also factor in (without even realizing it) the lighting, sound and other features of the room that will influence the social flow.
The Weird: Capricorn has an unusual amount of control over emotions and, if there is a good enough reason to do so, can turn them on and off like a switch. Capricorn has been known to stop crying mid-sob or stop laughing mid-chuckle.
The Extremely Useful: Capricorn is a biz-whiz and enjoys learning about different models and management systems.
The Quietly Helpful: Even though Capricorns have high expectations for themselves and can be hard on their families, friends and team members, they generally don’t meddle in other people’s business and are not as judgmental as others can be.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: One of the greatest leading men of all time, Clark Gable was deemed the “King of Hollywood.” The Aquarian actor played Rhett Butler in “Gone With the Wind” and starred in over 80 pictures, usually as the lovable rogue — gruff on the outside, golden-hearted on the inside. It’s significant that Gable’s moon is in Cancer, the sign of maternal influence, since his own mother died before he was a year old.
