Mercury Retrograde in Cancer
Well, it’s here. Between now and July 1, 2014, Mercury takes a backward journey through the domestic realm of Cancer. Projects slow down along with the pacing of relationships and events. Everything takes longer to come together. There’s more to think about in each move. The question that arises again and again: What is the meaning?
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Even though there is wisdom in finding the path of least resistance, it is sometimes true that the easiest way is the hardest way in disguise. When in doubt, don’t choose. Ask the way to reveal itself to you.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Knowing that the familiar has a way of flat-lining a person’s interest level, you strive to keep things fresh and interesting with those you’ve known for a long while.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). In their 1970s hit “Take It Easy,” the Eagles famously sang, “Lighten up while you still can.” You’ve figured out that it’s never too late to lighten up. You can do it any old time, and you will prove it today!
CANCER (June 22-July 22). You’ll extend your network in a fortuitous way by accepting an invitation, following a friend’s suggestion or doing the old-fashioned thing: shaking hands and introducing yourself.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You’ll be your strongest when you don’t over-think things. Keep it simple. Do the work you’re supposed to be doing without worrying about what will happen with it tomorrow or the next day.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Even though you like to center your efforts on a goal, you don’t have to. The fact is that you can get just as much accomplished today by doing what feels right to you.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Loved ones will interrupt, but what they want and need will be far more of a pleasure than whatever the other thing was. It is an honor to give your attention to your loved ones.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You’re trying to get the word out about your product, but your amazing results will be the only marketing you really need. Focus on making your product great, and you’ll reach many.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). The music rings out, and then it’s gone. It absolutely has to be experienced in the now moment. That’s why music is such a precious expression and bonding agent, as you will experience today.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Only send out messages that are fit for the eyes of the whole world. If you would want only some of them to see, don’t send it. You’re simply getting too much attention these days to keep things under wraps.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Instead of trying to motivate people, focus on inspiring them through your actions. Showing is better than telling. Your living example has far more power than any motivational words you could share.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Your little slice of life holds riches in it. You’ll miss them if you’re too busy trying to do everything. If you’re not sure, just say “no,” stay home and enjoy a simple pleasure there. This is what will be most fulfilling.
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (June 7). You will move, dance and play your way into better health. This month features a circle of like minds, and you’ll find love there. July freshens your domestic picture, and you may even move. Interest becomes passion in August, and it will change your destiny. October and November bring business. Grow slowly. Scorpio and Aquarius people adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 45, 2, 33, 35 and 17.
MERCURY RETROGRADE CLEANUP: Since it’s likely that a few wild cards will be thrown into the domestic flow to prevent everything from moving smoothly, it’s more important than ever to take care of the details that help you stay neat and organized. What’s the one move you could make to tidy up your world and prevent further domestic chaos and confusion?
SAGITTARIUS: Your message system is the thing! Knowing the drill about voicemail, snail mail and written notes will prevent communications from falling through the cracks. Improving your methods and routines for dealing with email is one area that could have a profound effect on your social and professional life.
CAPRICORN: The filing system is an ideal place to start. Those labels that once seemed so apt need reworking. Also, you’ll find that your mind has changed in regard to what is important. Much of what you once thought you needed to keep can now be rather comfortably tossed.
AQUARIUS: Your sign rules the domain of donation, and you’ll find that you get a rush of satisfaction from turning over a big bag of clothing or household items to those who need them more than you.
PISCES: Tend to the finer details that will make the bathroom sparkle. Grout, anyone? You restore your water-sign energy underwater, and a pleasant bathing experience is the start or end of many a beautiful day.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: “Arrested Development’s” Michael Cera is currently working on a comedy about a science show that is also a portal to a supernatural world. This Gemini actor was born when the sun, Mercury and Venus were all in Gemini, indicating a quick wit and a love of conversation, especially the exchange of new ideas. His moon and Mars in soulful Pisces suggests that artistic talents run deep.
