The Gemini moon contributes intellectual energy and excellent juju for our lines of communication. If there’s something you’ve been wanting to get across but you weren’t quite sure how to say it, the inspiration will hit now, and you’ll find the right words — or, more than likely, the thing that will communicate even better than words.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). There’s a friend, colleague or relation who is leaving a lot of the work undone. You’re going to have to fill in the blanks. There’s no sense in arguing about it. You’re the one, so just do it.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You have a true love of life and its pleasures, and you’ll express that today. Don’t waste your time with the people around you who don’t get it. Focus on the ones who seem to be riding your wavelength.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Rich food and drink are not your friends. These substances go down easy, but there is a cost that you won’t want to pay. Consider that a food addiction can be harder to kick than a drug addiction.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). You’re somewhat of a social genius today, as you gather your bouquet of friends and enjoy the sweet perfume of their conversation. Just don’t try to fix their problems. Your polite attention will help — the rest is up to them.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). The difference between friends and acquaintances will be made clear — hopefully not painfully so. Confucius suggested that some friendships are honey-thick, but the best friendships are lighter than water.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Everything will align in your favor to provide more time for fun. Travel will go well, especially short distances and brief stays. All will be pleasant as you stick with your own agenda (and transportation).
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Fluttery stomach? Take it as a good sign. You’re close to the deal, near to the love of your life or onto a situation you should run from fast. Make excitement and/or nervousness work in your favor.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Utilize your network to its potential, and not just the social network, either. Include the physical, emotional and spiritual network you’ve built. There are many on your side who would love to support you.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You have your short list of people you check in on regularly for wisdom, insight and brilliance. Now it’s time to make the list a little longer. After all, there are many minds out there you could learn from.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Hard to believe, but there are those who simply won’t join the digital age. The people who won’t get with the times are both intimidated by technology and resistant to change. You’ll lower their resistance and provide help.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Well, you didn’t imagine this scenario, and yet here it is, the inevitable result of the situation you engineered. You’ll find it interesting, inspiring and life changing. This is an affirmation about action.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). More than any expert or the sum opinion of any crowd, trust yourself. You know best. Trust that inner light bulb. You know even more precisely and correctly than your own mother.
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Aug. 19). You have lofty dreams and all of the talent and drive you need to make them real. You’ll be the best leader for the job, so don’t wait to be invited; step up in September. October brings opportunity through your family. Young people are extremely lucky for you, so teach and give all you can to them — it will come back tenfold. Pisces and Capricorn people adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 3, 25, 31, 22 and 11.
ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: “I’m a poet. I never show anyone my poems, though, because it’s embarrassing. Also, whenever I think I might show someone, my heart starts to race, and I start to sweat, and it’s so uncomfortable that I know I can’t do it. But how will I ever be successful as a poet if I can’t show anyone what I’ve written? Also, I’m an Aquarius. I’m supposed to be outgoing, and that’s not me at all. Why?”
Sigmund Freud wrote, “Everywhere I go, I find that a poet has been there before me.” Aquarius artists have a way of pulling from many disciplines and areas of study, including science and religion, to create their art. And because your inner world is so rich, originality is a strong suit for your sign. Your imagination constantly sparks with unusual associations, as your keen intellect draws ideas from a wide variety of experiences. It’s true that a friendly, outgoing personality is usually associated with Aquarius. Would you like to have greater social ease? Developing this aspect of your personality, though challenging, will lift the mental blocks that keep you from sharing your work with others. Investigate the concepts of stage fright and social anxiety to get to the bottom of this obstacle.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Balladeer Christina Perri took over the radio waves with her 2010 debut single Jar of Hearts and has been periodically dropping the hits ever since. Currently on tour, the Leo songstress is perfecting the fine art of playing the heartstrings of massive crowds. Born when the sun and communication planet Mercury were in Leo, the sign of entertainment, Perri no doubt feels she was born to perform.
