Are these just costs for the permission to do these building projects? I was told that fees were so high--that builders are just leaving the county. At our "visioning" town meeting in Pollock--someone had said--how many buildings do you want? My reply...I would like to see people be able to add or replace things on their own property without having to take out a loan just for the fees, before they even start. I would like to see places such as schools and libraries taken care of without these extraordinary fees tacked on. I would like to see someone who owns property, be able to add a small house for their aging parent to live (without going bankrupt.) I would like to see some of these older cabins fixed up for the renters inside of them (I live in Pollock.) Look at these prices just for permission to build...shaking head. The government in this county has forgotten the word "community." How can it even think about "visioning" of community identity--when it doesnt honor the "person" first.
