Monday’s article on the Rubicon Trail incorrectly identified the term “road prism” as including a Forest Service acronym related to ¬†Plant Risk Status Information Management. As commonly used in engineering terms, according to Chief Assistant County Counsel Ed Knapp, the road prism extends from “original ground to original ground” and includes all parts of a road, including cut banks, ditches, road surfaces, road shoulders and road fills and are considered integral to the road structure and necessary to support the road pavement.
