In the article,”Trail segments move into design phase,” published Friday, April 5, Placerville Community Development Director Michael Webb was incorrectly quoted as  saying,”…for now cyclists will have to get off their bikes and walk through downtown.” Webb said that cyclists would need to get off their bicycles at the end of the trail at Bedford to cross the street, but not that they would have to walk their bicycles through the downtown area. Cyclists are permitted to ride on city streets through downtown, sharing the road with vehicles.
