Crime Log: Aug. 12-17

Aug. 12

2:00 p.m. A suspect allegedly entered the 42-year-old female victim’s house on Mt. Shasta Circle in South Lake Tahoe through the wall into a downstairs bedroom and stole approximately $38,750 worth of property and cash. The suspect later allegedly used the victim’s credit card at Kmart where he was recorded on video.

2:25 p.m. During a misdemeanor contact for alleged open container and dogs off leash on Lilly Beach in South Lake Tahoe, Brianna Lupia, 29, allegedly delayed the investigation by not identifying herself and then providing a false name. She was subsequently arrested.

6:31 p.m. A 29-year-old female victim reported her car had been keyed on Winterhaven Drive in Cmaeron Park and she believed her dog had been poisoned and killed a few months prior.

11:00 p.m. A juvenile female was contacted on Park Woods Drive in Pollock Pines and allegedly found to be in possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription. The juvenile female was subsequently arrested.

Aug. 13

1:20 a.m. A 34-year-old male allegedly broke into a garage on Slug Gulch Road in Mt. Akum and assaulted his ex-girlfriend, 39. He broke a window of a vehicle she was in, pulled her out and drove the car away.

8:24 a.m. Four rental storage units on Pleasant Valley Road in Diamond Springs were burglarized.

2:14 p.m.  The 56-year-old male victim entrusted $2,500 to a subject he met on Facebook. The subject promised to double the victim’s money at Red Hawk Casino but took the victim’s money and left the casino.

Aug. 14

2:24 a.m. Cohabitating adults were involved in a physical altercation on B Street in South Lake Tahoe. Gary Barton, 27, allegedly admitted to forcing the 25-year-old female victim through an open door causing visible injuries. He was subsequently arrested.

2:27 a.m. Candice Moran, 47,  was contacted for allegedly illegally removing property from a dumpster on Coach Lane in Cameron Park. She was arrested for outstanding warrants. The suspect allegedly dumped drugs in the backseat of the patrol car.

8:47 a.m. George Vasquez, 26, was taken into custody on Reservation Road in Placerville on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, violation of probation and warrants. Suspect was later cited and released for medical reasons.
