Crime Log — Aug. 12-Aug. 15

Aug. 12

5:22 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) entered an apartment on Valley View Parkway in El Dorado Hills at an unknown time and date and stole two laptop computers and a Wii video system. There was no sign of forced entry.

9:57 p.m. 
A male subject, Kyle Kauschinger, 22, was allegedly found driving a vehicle on a suspended driver’s license on Greenleaf Drive in Diamond Springs. He was subsequently arrested.

Aug. 13

1:00 p.m. The reporting party reported that his 16-year-old son had run away from their home on Big Valley View Drive in Placerville. A report was taken and forwarded to investigations for follow-up.

7:18 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to a suspicious person call on Town Center Boulevard in El Dorado Hills. Deputies located the suspicious person, identified as Jay Vaught, 46, and arrested him for alleged possession of a controlled substance.

7:30 p.m. A married couple was involved in a verbal argument on Mosquito Road in Placerville.

8:08 p.m. An ex-husband, 37, and wife, 35, had a verbal disagreement on Governor Drive in El Dorado Hills. Both parties were separated for the evening.

8:50 p.m. A male subject, identified as Paul Chesser, 29, was arrested for alleged public intoxication and possession of a dirk or dagger on Salmon Falls Road in Pilot Hill.

9:09 p.m. Two sisters, ages 27 and 18, were involved in a physical and verbal altercation on Country Club Drive in Cameron Park. Neither needed medical attention.

10:47 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to a battery follow-up call on Country Club Drive in Cameron Park. The male victim, 25, refused to speak with deputies. Deputies documented known information and forwarded the report to detectives for further investigation.

Aug. 14

12:20 a.m. A domestic couple had a verbal-only argument on Lupine Trail in Mont Meadows.

8:40 a.m. A 51-year-old female victim reported vandalism on Marshall Trail in Mont Meadows by unknown suspect(s).

9:00 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) used a pry tool to force entry into vehicle parked on Town Center Boulevard in El Dorado Hills. A backpack was stolen. No suspects were seen. Prints were collected.

9:30 a.m.
 Deputies responded to a domestic dispute on Service Drive in Diamond Springs. No crime was reported.

10:10 a.m. Two men, ages 56 and 70, had an argument over the price of work to be done on Breese Circle in El Dorado Hills. There was pushing and shoving by both parties.

10:38 a.m. 
A married couple were in a domestic verbal dispute on Gold Hill Road in Gold Hill. The husband advised he was going to leave the residence.

10:40 a.m. A 55-year-old female victim reported petty theft by unknown suspect(s) on Hazel Street in Pollock Pines.

10:52 a.m. 
A business on Missouri Flat Road in Diamond Springs reported receiving a package that contained marijuana. The package was collected and turned over to narcotics detectives for investigation.

11:20 a.m. Thomas East Jr., 52, was arrested for alleged public intoxication on Pleasant Valley Road in Diamond Springs.

5:03 p.m. Lillian Dolcini, 18, was cited and released for alleged petty theft on Missouri Flat Road in Placerville.

7:24 p.m. A 32-year-old male suspect allegedly took property that had been found in a business on Cameron Park Drive in Cameron Park. The stolen property was allegedly recovered at suspect’s residence.

10:00 p.m. A male and female got into a verbal altercation on Cimmarron Road in Cameron Park.

Aug. 15

1:10 a.m. Upon responding to a report of a battery on Cameron Park Drive in Cameron Park, deputies found that both parties declined to assist in the investigation and to prosecute.

6:45 a.m. An elderly female family member, 56, allegedly walked to a house on Swansboro Road in Mosquito intoxicated and yelled at her son in-law, 42, causing a disturbance.

8:08 a.m. A 15-year-old male juvenile was reported as a runaway from Ponderosa Road in Rescue.

10:18 a.m. An unknown suspect allegedly made a death threat to a 52-year-old victim via email in El Dorado.

12:17 p.m. Deputies responded to a verbal dispute between roommates on Cimmarron Road in Cameron Park.

12:35 p.m. The reporting party reported vandalism by unknown suspect(s) on Cambridge Road in Cameron Park.

1:49 p.m. A report of grand theft from Villagio Drive in El Dorado Hills led to the suspect, Gloria Gaston, 53, being arrested in Georgia.

6:47 p.m. Dating cohabitants had a verbal argument on Bucks Bar Road in Placerville.
