Crime Log — Aug. 21-22

Aug. 21

3:10 p.m. A 68-year-old male suspect allegedly threw several items in the direction the 47-year-old male victim on Arrowhead Avenue in Meyers. A blender base almost struck the victim. The victim attempted to call 911, but the suspect had disabled both landlines and took a cell phone on his departure.

4:25 p.m. 
Male and the female subjects who lived together for approximately 21 years and they have a 21-year-old daughter were involved in a verbal argument on Service Drive in Diamond Springs.

5:50 p.m. A 22-year-old male victim reported that three unknown suspects assaulted him on Granite Hill Road in Placerville.

7:46 p.m. A 14-year-old female juvenile allegedly defaced portions of her residence on Stonebriar Drive in El Dorado Hills with paint and was subsequently arrested.

10:47 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to the Emerald Bay area in South Lake Tahoe for a report of suicidal threats. The male subject in question, identified as Manish Patel, 36, was contacted and arrested for alleged public intoxication. Additionally, the suspect denied wanting to harm himself.

10:58 p.m. Deputies responded to Gentian Circle in South Lake Tahoe for a verbal disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, a male subject fled from deputies and allegedly continued to resist after ordered to stop running. The male, Michael Barnhart, 35, was later caught and placed under arrest for allegedly obstructing an officer. He was transported to the county jail without further incidents.

Aug. 22

12:28 a.m.
 Deputies responded to a burglar alarm on Highway 50 in Meyers. Two bikes had been stolen from a business.

7:09 a.m. Threatening phone calls were allegedly made to a 29-year-old male victim on Country Club Drive in Cameron Park. There was no suspect information.

8:00 a.m. Gasoline was siphoned from two vehicles on Castlewood Circle in Pollock Pines.

8:25 a.m. A 47-year-old female victim reported grand theft by unknown suspect(s) on Ponderosa Road in Rescue.

9:40 a.m. A victim reported burglary by unknown suspect(s) on Macpheadris Court in El Dorado Hills.

10:14 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) cut pad locks to metal storage containers on Slug Gulch Road in Omo Ranch attempting entry. Entry was not made and cut locks were not located.

1:23 p.m. A female subject’s residence on North Canyon Road in Camino was burglarized. The subject suspected at least a couple of people who she thought were suspicious. However, as of the time of this report, there was not enough evidence to charge anyone with a crime.

3:41 p.m. Loss prevention agents detained a subject, Steven McVeigh, 50, for alleged shoplifting on Missouri Flat Road in Diamond Springs. The subject was issued a citation and released with his written promise to appear in court.

6:29 p.m. 
Thomas East Jr. was arrested for allegedly being publicly intoxicated on Pleasant Valley Road in Diamond Springs. He was to be released with no criminal proceedings one he was sober.

6:30 p.m. A boyfriend and girlfriend were involved in a verbal argument on Creekside Court in Shingle Springs.
