Crime Log — Sept. 20-23

Sept. 20

8:25 a.m. 
A crime report was taken regarding an attempted vehicle burglary on Los Santos Drive in Cameron Park. Suspect(s) are unknown.

8:30 a.m. 
Unknown suspect(s) remove catalytic converter from motor vehicle on Broome Place in El Dorado Hills. No one was seen or heard.

9:30 a.m. Loss prevention reported that a subject stole an item from commercial business on Missouri Flat Road in Diamond Springs. The item was recovered and subject left prior to deputies’ arrival. The subject was identified, located nearby, and arrested on suspicion of petty theft. The subject, Robert Kamena, 29, was booked into county jail without incident on suspicion of petty theft.

10:21 a.m. A victim reported a lost or stolen prescription pad on Camino Heights Drive in Camino.

11:10 a.m. Two male adults, ages 42 and 31, were involved in a mutual battery on Guadalupe Street in South Lake Tahoe.

12:46 p.m. A 34-year-old male subject reported his personal property was missing from an apartment on Valley View Parkway in El Dorado Hills when he was released from jail.

1:38 p.m. 
An unknown subject attempted to break through the wall of an ATM kiosk on Francisco Drive in El Dorado Hills, but was unsuccessful.

3:12 p.m.
 A subject reported a threatening statement on Missouri Flat Road in Diamond Springs. The subject wanted the statement documented.

4:20 p.m. Rodney Hembree, 52, was arrested for allegedly driving with a suspended license on Lime Kiln Road in Diamond Springs.

10:53 p.m. A female victim’s vehicle was damaged while it was parked in a bar parking lot on Coach Lane in Cameron Park. No suspect information is available at this time

Sept. 21

12:39 a.m.
 A report was taken regarding a verbal dispute between husband and wife on Edgewater Drive in Georgetown.

7:34 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicles and stole property. The male victims, 30 and 32, were firefighters parked at Station 43 in Diamond Springs. Personal items and medical bags were stolen. The case was deemed inactive due to lack of investigative leads.

9:54 a.m.
 Unknown suspect(s) damaged the Naturally Cool Coffee kiosk trailer, while it was parked off of Northside Drive in Cool. Suspect(s) left behind a pair of binoculars and attempted to pry into an exterior storage box.

Sept. 22

2:10 a.m. A vehicle was detained for making an unsafe turning movement and failing to signal on Highway 50 in Meyers. The driver was found to be allegedly operating a motor vehicle while his license status was suspended. The driver, Aaron Magid, 25, was cited and released for the above violations.

11:18 a.m. Suspicious and annoying phone calls were reported at a business on Missouri Flat Road in Diamond Springs. No suspect or caller ID information was available.

11:48 p.m. A subject was allegedly in possession of a hypodermic needle he used for injecting drugs into his body on Highway 50 in Shingle Springs. Jack Plexico, 25, was subsequently arrested and booked into jail.

Sept. 23

1:03 a.m. Deputies conduct a traffic stop and requested CHP for a DUI turnover on El Dorado Hills Boulevard in El Dorado Hills. The driver, a 27-year-old female, was subsequently arrested by CHP for suspicion of DUI.

2:00 a.m. A male juvenile, 15, was issued a citation for allegedly driving without a drivers license on Cameron Park Drive in Cameron Park. The juvenile was released to his father, who responded to the scene.

8:45 a.m. A burglary to a church was reported on Mother Lode Drive in Diamond Springs.

3:06 p.m. A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for alleged vehicle code violations on Country Club Drive in Cameron Park. A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed drug paraphernalia. The driver, a 46-year-old female, was cited and released on suspicion possession of drug paraphernalia.

3:45 p.m. A petty theft was reported from Save-Mart on Missouri Flat Road in Diamond Springs.

8:00 p.m. Two adults, Shandra Camps, 35, and Rusty Shambaugh, 35, were arrested for alleged burglary when they stole beer from a gas station on Town Center Boulevard in El Dorado Hills.

9:00 p.m. A female adult, Dovie Thomas, 33, was detained for alleged vehicle code violations on Julie Lane in South Lake Tahoe and subsequently arrested for alleged possession of methamphetamine.

10:29 p.m. Deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration on Flying C Road in Cameron Park and determined the driver allegedly had a suspended driver’s license and no proof of insurance. The driver, a 20-year-old male, was cited and released, and the truck was released to a licensed driver at the scene.
