MORE earns highest level of accreditation

Mother Lode Rehabilitation Enterprises Inc. is proud to announce that it has again been awarded the highest level of accreditation bestowed by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, an international accreditation organization. The award was earned for MORE's work activity and supported employment programs.

This outcome of the three year accreditation period is awarded to organizations that show substantial fulfillment of the standards established by CARF. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation outcome has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable and accountable.

Additionally, an organization accredited for three years clearly indicates that present conditions represent an established pattern of total operations that is likely to be maintained or improved in the foreseeable future.

The latest action marks the 10th consecutive three-year accreditation outcomes awarded to MORE by CARF.

CARF is an independent, not-for-profit accrediting body promoting quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served.

This latest accreditation contained 817 standards including leadership, governance, strategic planning, input from all stakeholders, financial planning and management, risk management, health and safety, human resources, technology, rights of persons served, accessibility, information measurement and management, quality individualized services and supports and employment services.

In CARF’s report summarizing the findings, it was reported that MORE’s strengths are:
• Positive, vibrant and strong leadership
• Knowledgeable, capable, highly motivated and dedicated staff with a strong sense of teamwork
• Exceptionally dedicated, forward-looking Board who are actively engaged with the organization
• A board which has a diverse membership including a client representative is exemplary
• Having an Aktion Club and all the committees with client participation was commended.
• MORE’s leadership is a good steward of the company’s finances.
• Funders and referral sources including families are very satisfied with services
• Excellent partnerships with both public and private sector businesses and services, including employers
• MORE’S Website is contemporaneous and user friendly
• Program documentation is excellent for individuals served
• A wide variety of fun and creative service options as well as job placements for all clients
• Incredible percentage of individual success and accomplishments has been realized by persons served at MORE.

It’s evident in speaking with clients that they each have a sense of pride and ownership in the organization. Empowerment for the people served is displayed through every day relationships, training, classes and is part of the entire organization’s culture. The McDonalds Regional award to one client served by MORE is an example of the successful job placement options, the evaluation noted.

Susie Davies, executive director, credits this great accomplishment to the clients served, the support provided by their families and care providers, the exceptional staff and board of directors, and the orchestrated team efforts of this organizations with the community at large. It is the combined support of each of these sectors that makes MORE so extraordinary.
