GRACEFULLY EVER AFTER - Grace Foundation Adoption Director Ron Warr lavishes attention on frisky 2-month-old Mustang colt Ariel, who adores him. Warr witnessed the appalling conditions at Susanville ranch, in April, 2011, including the decomposing remains of up to 30 horses. He helped round up the survivors, many of which were severely malnourished and in some cases feral. Ariel's mom, a 9-year-old Mustang, background, was one of 32 horses taken from Whispering Pines in August, 2011, that are now in legal limbo, and the subject of a lawsuit.
