A PHOTOGRAPH TAKEN IN THE 1920's shows the Placerville News Co. and it's employee George Bessie who was hired at age 21 and worked at the business until he was in his seventies.

A PHOTOGRAPH TAKEN on Sept. 4, 1924, depicts the front of the Placerville News newsstand when it shared the space with the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Co.
