STRIKE — Right to left: Natalie Park, 40, Julie Hoskins, 40, and Lissa Turnboo, 41, along with other Raley's employees, hold signs along Placerville Drive Sunday morning after their union failed to come to a contract agreement with the company during negotiations on Saturday. It is the first strike in Raley's 77-year history. Democrat photo by Krysten Kellum
Raley’s is not even willing to meet the employees halfway. Support the strikers shop elsewhere. Even Walmart employees are organizing due to their low pay. Which is good for the taxpayer because our taxes are supplementing Walmart employees income with food stamps, medicaid, etc.
Unions are outdated and outmoded – a relic of the past that just need to go. Unions promote sloppy workmanship, corruption, sloth and waste – that’s why the USSR failed. Bring on the free market economy and let the magic begin! Good luck to the Raley’s workers – I think they’ll be out of job soon.
