A BRAND NEW Honda Accord ends up in a ditch across the street from the Shingle Springs Honda dealership on Saturday, Feb. 16 following a short test drive. The female driver was taking the car for a test drive around noon along with Shingle Springs Honda salesman Shawn Vanlangen when the driver, for unknown reasons, floored the gas pedal, crashing into three new cars parked at the dealership before smashing through the front gate supports out of control across Mother Lode Drive, narrowly missing several cars and ending up in a ditch next to eastbound Highway 50 a couple hundred yards away. The driver was transported to Marshall hospital with unknown injuries. Democrat photo by Pat Dollins
