   Congratulations go out to our own Col. Longhofer who during the Republican National Convention discovered a boat moored in Tampa Bay Harbor flying a Camen Islands flag, yes very sinister…Meanwhile, yesterdays Democrat National Convention resembled a cross between a Frat party and an episode of “Lets Make A Deal” ….With very few suits and ties, the convention fashions basically ranged from Vegas shows girls to Darth Vader, but I really liked those giant green wicker hats, and who can forget those neon colored bow-ties that spun and flashed each time a new government handout was announced…It certainly took everyone’s’ mind off the fact that our Nation still young men and women dying overseas, and our countries debt just soared over the 16 trillion-dollar mark…Everyone should tune-in again tonight to watch just how serious Liberals are about solving our Nations problems and they also might get to see Joe Biden with a lampshade on his head..

   To Mr. Longhofer’s point, how will those who identify with the Tea Party reconcile a vote for Mr. Romney? I have plenty of issues with Obama, but most of the fundamentals of the Democratic Party still ring true for me, so I can vote without holding my nose too hard. But I can’t imagine a person with deeply held TP or evangelical beliefs voting for Romney.

   Catherine, your question is a fair one. Romney was my 4th choice among the Republicans in the running. But ANY of them (well…. I’m still not sure about Ron Paul) would have been head and shoulders better for the country than Obama. It comes back to having voted twice for GWB. Who was I going to vote for??? The alternatives were Al Gore and John Kerry. Puh-leeze. Same deal here. To me, Romney presents more drawbacks than the 3 I chose before him, but at least his selection of Paul Ryan as running mate tells me that he is at least LISTENING to the hard core fiscal conservatives of the party.

   In a June 2007 speech Obama said “Whatever we once were, we’re no longer a Christian nation…Then, after less than 4 years of Obama being president we all get to watch as “God” is booed during the Democratic National convention…Yet still, some people refuse to see what’s going on all around them, they just don’t get it, probably never will…..Just goes to show it’s easier to fool a fool, than it is for someone to convince a fool they’ve been fooled….

   Mr. Carter, I think the Nays in that convention vote were suggesting that supporting Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel had no place in the Democratic platform, and that God wouldn’t mind being left out of politics.

    Mark, it’s time to take your pill cup……And…Catherine, I’m sure your right…After the Democrats open their convention with a prayer, proceed to boo the inclusion of the word God, then close their convention with yet another prayer, I’m positive God would now rather be left out of politics…Well, at least the politics of the left……Plus….James buddy, sounds like you must be feeling a little better after your fall a while back, good deal….Anyway, you ask “Is God is a Tea/Republican?”…..I don’t know, but while I don’t want to sound preachy, I do think if folks thought about God just half as often as you’ve been thinking about those pesky Tea/Republicans, the world would be a much better place…..

    God’s omnipresence allows him to be at both conventions. God is everywhere. One has to decide if they want to acknowledge god’s presence is there or not. Let’s call a voice vote…

    Mr. Longhofer,speaking of a group of Republican baboons. Baboons are the loudest, most dangerous, most obnoxious, viciously aggressive and least intelligent of all primates. And what is the proper collective noun for a group of baboons?
    Believe it or not… A Congress! Look it up. A CONGRESS OF BABOONS! That pretty much explains the things that come out of Washington and their fondness for the Tea Party!

    A gathering of Baboons is more commonly referred to as a Troop….A gathering of Eagles is more likely to be referred to as a Congress….Look it up!!!…A gathering of Democrats is most likely referred to as a welfare line….Look that up also…

    inventer(sic) of scrabble – A couple things you may want to look up… the spelling of inventor and the collective noun for baboons is commonly troop or congress, although flange is also increasingly used.

    Documented yachts owned by members of congress are common, I was Captain of one owned by a Senator in the late 70s that called the Dominican Republic homeport. Purchasing a two million dollar + yacht, berthing and equipping it out side the United States to avoid taxes is a matter of choice as was Romney’s families decision to move from the United States to Mexico, a matter of choice, these decisions do seem to leave space in Romney’ case to question ones loyalty. As for our current congress and baboons: there are many collective nouns that all mean group, it also is a matter of choice, I choose a congress of baboons. Electing baboons for congress is also a choice and may very well explain why our country continues its decent into the abyss of a failing civilization

    The Obama and Romney campaigns announced political advertisements would be put aside today for the 11th anniversary of 9/11, but that didn’t stop Mitt Romney from using Twitter to campaign on this day of remembrance and reflection. Once again, a question of creditability and choice, like buying a 2 million dollar yacht for a foreign country to avoid US taxes.

    Apparently we have a bunch of goodie two shoes that never use the system to avoid taxes, give me a break the man made his money honestly and deserves to use the system that our beloved congress approved of. All the crap that everyone is complaining about isn’t proven, that goes for our messiah, he hasn’t shown any of his collage transcripts because it will show that he received scholarships by being a foreign student, if not why not show them. Just a creditable as Romney not showing his tax returns, grow up kids they are all crooks. But the messiah plans on taking us down a dark road that will have no escape.
