A letter to Bosco

By From page A5 | January 02, 2013

Bosco, remember me? My name was Bessie when we shared our time at the local Placerville Animal Shelter. It was back in September of 2011. I still do not know why we were there.

Bosco, how are you? I hope you are doing fine Bosco and Bosco, my new name is Lady, and I am doing great. I have always wondered about you and your new home. The kind people at the shelter told us you had found a new family Bosco and that made Master happy for you and for me as well.

Bosco, I met a skunk one night, and Master did not get that mad at me, since I was learning my new name, and the excitement took both of us in stride. Heck, I didn’t smell that bad. I had to get another bath and my family had towels and sheets all over the house. I thought it was neat but I do not think I want to try it again, but time will tell. I also met a couple of foxes Bosco that were trying to raise a new family on the property. Master persuaded them to leave.

I have many toys to play with indoors Bosco, and a lot of them were left over from my Master’s previous friend who he still tells me about on occasion. I think he still misses his friend Buddy. I like to play tug-of-war and the ears on some of the those toys are so fun to chew off, that now Master cuts them off before I eat them. I guess they would not taste that good Bosco.

Well Bosco, I am going to go with Master to check the mail and see what the weather’s like outside. This time of year is so lazy Bosco and I have a sore leg from running too much. Master says I need to stay off it for a few days. Bosco, I miss you, and you can throw some news my way anytime you and your master see fit to do so.

Hope to hear from you Bosco,

Lady (Bessie)
