If you can’t see what is happening to our country, then you are not paying attention. We are drifting down a road that will be very difficult to overcome if something isn’t done. I have heard people say ” I can’t make a difference, so why get involved”. Well- you NEVER will make a difference if you don’t try. It’s time to STAND UP for what you believe and believe in our country and what it stands for. No, Mr. LaBahn isn’t part of the problem, He is trying to get you to “think”—even though there might be some tongue in cheek in his remarks there is some truth in it. QE3-$40 BILLON being printed every month so that we can BUY OUR bonds, devaluing the dollar as we go along, stock market held artificially high, interest rates stay low, your savings worth less, food, gas, general goods, everything will cost more–
less money in our pockets–so how is that working for you. Thank you Mr, Obama.

I’m feeling for Martin’s friend…. But on this “welfare” thing, 42% of “dependence on government” statistics are based on SS, Medicare, and MediCaid/Medical payments–retirement and healthcare accounts that people pay into. A mixed statistic like this tells us very little. In fact, if you receive SS or Medicare, Mr. Labahn, you may already be part of the “problem.”

A lesson in irony. The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever. Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us to “Please Do Not Feed the Animals.” Their stated reason for the policy is because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves. So, Martin, your “friend” worked for cash under the table, but still collected unemployment and other benefits intended for the poor? He is a criminal, and so are you, for not turning him in. Is white collar crime OK in the conservative world view? Is it OK to get welfare if you don’t need it? Is it OK to not pay taxes on cash income, increasing the tax burden for everyone else? You republicans are such hypocrites.

Martin, your “friend” is a criminal tax cheat, plain and simple. He made his living by making money under the table, not paying taxes on it, and under-declaring his income to collect his government benefits. And you complain about taxes being too high? It seems to be part of the conservative ideology that white collar crime is OK so long as you do not get caught. If you actually believed that those who steal our tax dollars should not get away with it, you would turn him in. Hypocrite.

The city of Detroit is a great example of our future as a country when the smartest among us, the liberals, get their way without anyone to stop them. The police union there just issued a warning to people to enter at their own risk. Leftists promote the idea that the reason people are in different financial circumstances is because the payers have some other freedoms that the takers don’t have. They object to the fact that in this country you are free to live what ever life you are willing to work for. Whether that is a house on the beach or the dumpster of your choosing.

Rob I had a hard working friend over that finally after looking for work for a year found a job, but the truth is he said that it was a good year because of all the bennie’s that he and his family received from the government. He actually said it was like a nice paid vacation, with the money that he made under the table and all the bennie’s he received, made life wonderful; went fishing a lot. Vote Republican

The upcoming presidential election will be very telling. If Obama wins, again, our country is done. I am not a negative person. But our reign as a superpower will be over. An Obama victory will confirm what I already suspect. The majority of the citizens of this great land are lazy. They don’t want a hand up they want a hand out. My heart breaks when I think of all the servicemen and women who have fought to keep our country safe and free. For what? So our government can hand out free food, housing, medical etc. Well, guess what?. It ‘ain’t’ free. I am working to take care of all you losers. Get a job and have some pride. We need less government and more people to speak up!!! Take back our country.
