In the wake of the unspeakable events that transpired during the Boston Marathon one has to wonder why the outcry for common sense is going unheard by our politicians. The knee-jerk reaction coming out of the mainstream media was the accusations of a “terrorist,” al-Qaeda related, then quickly it switched to right-wing radicals and finally North Korean subversives planted bombs at the finish line of the event, killing and maiming hundreds of innocents.
Yesterday the truth came out. The devices that exploded were pressure cookers. There were at least two pressure cookers that went off a few feet apart that were responsible for the explosions.
Let me be the first person to demand that all pressure cookers be licensed, taxed and registered before being purchased here in America. There should be a rigorous training course on the use of the dangerous devices before someone would be allowed to operate a pressure cooker.
We as a society need to take a stand against the ignorant backwards haters who belong to the TAA (Tailgaiters Association of America), and tell them for the safety of every American that pressure cookers need to be band at sporting events. They can still use a more safety-conscience Crock-Pot to cook their food. It just takes a few hours longer. Many people have evolved and have no desire or need for the pressure cooker today. So I say for the future of not just ourselves but our children, stand up to the evil TAA and say no more to pressure cookers in our lifetime.
