I'm willing to bet that people like Deanna, Cookie and myself wouldn't mind paying the high taxes if we had the utopia we used to live in decades ago. I'm asking why are we not getting what we pay for? Shouldn't the Government's top priority be service to the people? I'm willing to pay twice as much taxes if California would instill accountability into government.

We also pay the third highest gas tax in the nation(for over 40 years) with more cars than most other states combined while we enjoy the worst road in the country. By the time they pay for the healthcare and pensions there isn't much left over for the roads. It is like bailing out the Titanic with a dixie cup.
