National Sheriff Assoc President : Some folks say they don’t want President Obama’s 23 executive orders; they say they don’t matter. But I would say if it deals with a concealed weapon that is carried unlawfully – “while some criminals are going to continue to do so — if we don’t make it unlawful, there’s nothing we can do about it if we catch them.”

NRA sweetheart El Dorado County Sheriff John D’Agostini should submit to a volunteer review by the County Mental Health Director, obviously the stress of his job has pushed him over the top. Additionally, I would recommend a visit by a Senior Services Investigator to determine if the Sheriff is under duress; “Sheriff D’Agostini writes to the Vice President, “The purpose of this letter is to go on record of re-affirming my oath of office and making it clear that I and my staff will never violate [our oath of office] by being pressured into enforcing any unconstitutional provision, law or executive order.” I cant imagine the entire EDC Sheriffs Department is against the proposed efforts to control gun violence. I guess when the Sheriff comes up for re-election it will be time for a more responible individual to take the reins of the EDC Sheriffs Department.

LATEST UPDATE: “At least five civilians have been killed in a US assassination drone strike carried out in Afghanistan’s northeastern province of Kunar, Press TV reports.

Villagers say all the victims were civilians and had no links to any militant group.

Kunar which is located near the border with Pakistan has been the scene of frequent US assassination drone attacks.

Washington claims the targets of the drone attacks are al-Qaeda militants, but local officials and witnesses maintain that civilians have been the main victims of the attacks over the past few years.

The United States also carries out targeted killings through drone strikes in Yemen, Pakistan, and Somalia.

George W. Bush and certain individuals in his administration are by definition of the word “war criminals”, guilty. They started a war of aggression against the sovereign nation of Iraq, despite the opposition of the UN and the world community in general at the cost of thousands of American lives. Paddy, yes the list of complicit is a long one — Rice, Rumsfeld, senior military officers, top lawyers at DOJ and DOD, Congress types — how far down to go would depend on the prosecutor, just as they did in Nurnberg. And, if Hillary fails to prosecute she gets on the list too. If you look the other way, you get invited to the party. Of course, this all would only happen if an International Court became involved, so let’s not hold our breath.

OK, President Obama “bombing” as you say. No war crime there as he is merely engaging in the war against terrorism. You remember President Bush’s thought: We know who you are and we are coming for you (you poor buggers, not good to screw with us).
And the drones are not war crimes unless the U.S. is specifically targeting civilians. As in we aren’t attempting to kill the bad guys, we instead see an large wedding that we want wipe out — that’s the war crime — targeting civilians. Well, in summation, I know you support the war against terrorism, so guess we can rest now.

After that, I’ll just about leave you alone on the stimulus thing. You seem to give him a pass, though, on bombing countries Bush was never involved in. Was he just not “aggressive and preemptive enough”? Hey, be careful in the basement. Lots of creepy crawly things down there that can sneak out and bite you.

Paddy, Bush is the war criminal (aggressive preemptived war in Iraq — the ultimate war crime in federal and international law), Obama complicit by not prosecuting, thereby making him an accessory after the fact to Bush’s war crime and equally liable. Therefore, Bush/Obama war criminals in my opinion. Remember, the get away driver is guilty of murder as much as the perp who goes into the bank and kills the bank teller.
Now, stimulus was so called “dismal failure” because Tea/Republicans had to call it so — would have been a success had it occurred under Bush. OK, Paddy, we’re finished here and I hope the pin didn’t drop on you.
