Mr. Arjil, you say unconvincing, but is it true? Would Representative McClintock vote for schools, seniors and medical research or pentagon funding? I'm going to guess pentagon funding.

Mr. Arjil confuses 'minutiae' with 'facts'--to wit: we are buying airplanes that cost upward of $250 million a pop and they can't fly because of their propensity to kill the pilots. Mr. Arjil, did you ever wonder why the USAF does not use F-35s in Iraq or Afghanistan? The plane is too expensive to put in harm's way of a cheap shoulder-fired missile--provided it does not crash first. And another fact: McClintock never saw a weapons system he did not like--no matter how wasteful.

All that was said about President Ragan’s star war program was pushed under the table when we went to war, if he hadn’t been determined to have the best equipped military we would of lost many more soldiers than we did. Now that China is producing weapons we need to have weaponry that removes doubt from engagement. The F-35 is when perfected will be head and shoulders above our adversaries; this is a must if you want our nation to remain number one in the world.
