Biggest hypocrisy

EDITOR:

Nevada Water District expects $1 million in gold from the Meadow Vista (Combie reservoir) mercury removal project. This is the bonus that the Nevada Irrigation District will be getting from dredging for mercury. That is the biggest hypocrisy that I have ever seen. Kick the dredgers off the river so that they can recover the gold at a cost of $6 million that the taxpayer is providing while a lot of dredging families are now on welfare and food stamps. It sure doesn’t make any sense unless you are the one that is going to benefit from it.

Martin, in the eyes of government everything belongs to them. In Montana it is illegal to capture the rainwater that runs off the roof of your home. They know there is gold in Lake Combie, they are using the excuse of mercury to find it. It is good to be King.

Last time I checked around 2005, NID had around $80 million squirreled away in a capital reserve account. They were worried about the State coming in and stealing it through ERAF. If you need water service up there and are within the District's Service Map area, but on an old carve out parcel that isn't currently being served by the district you will have to bribe them to get service. They are about as self-serving and corrupt as they come.
