Gun Show sounds like Mr Jeff who sounds like New restrictions who also sounds like Richurd. Actually, all these dolts sound alike ;^) Now , for those gun-phobes who missed it, Sheriff D'Agostini was reported today as having written a letter to VP Joe BiteMe telling him to take any executive orders he and his fellow executives might pass which would infringe upon the 2nd Amendment rights of the residents of El Dorado County, and shove 'em. He is now one of over a hundred county Sheriffs around the country to do this. As the highest elected official in the county, he is the first and last word in law enforcement here. The only gun controls that are enforced in any county are ones the sheriff of that county will himself enforce. No federal agency can legally usurp or supersede his authority. Paddy O'Furniture is glad he lives in a conservative county with a conservative sheriff who takes his oath of office seriously :)

Nothing this last guy/girl said makes any sense in the real world. And I bet he’s real going to be mad when a black guy takes his assault type gun away, limits his availability of ammo, limits his available to magazines, and makes him use his real name the next time he purchases a gun. As a grown up, I have personally decided to cancel my NRA membership, as a once proud group it stands for nothing now, has no credibility and is the laughing stock of our nation. Reading his/hers post again realized it has the makings of a great country western song. Please, Please, Pleaseessss don’t take my guns away Mr. Black man sir, I need them to…...... god and the sheriff said I could have them ……my pickup truck got took by the socialist………..., just needs a couple of notes, a fiddle and for him/her to fill in the blanks. Where do people like this come from?

What the real problem is protection from our government. They won’t be busting down your door brandishing a BB gun, so if you believe in protection from tyranny you best have that 100 round clip available. All of this is about one thing, disarm America and for this to happen they have to start somewhere, kill the 2nd amendment would be a great start; register all your weapons so that when they decide that you no longer need your weapons they will know where to come. Sounds very familiar to the 1930s; and you all know what happen then. Just to be on the safe side I think that they need to take and shove there anti gun proposals where the sun doesn’t shine.

James, I wouldn't put it past one of our esteemed legislators to propose this. The issue would easily be circumvented by the black market that would arise and fill the void. We have very efficient black markets today for illegal dope, and this syndicate is successfully operated by some of the dumbest people in society; dope-heads and common criminals (many of whom own and use illegal firearms and are thus the cause for much concern amongst gun-phobes). An ammo black market would be no problem for intelligent and enterprising folks to set up and operate.

How many bullets are enough? Well, perhaps we can pass a law that only one person at a time can invade your home to rob you.

But because criminals don't care about laws, three people hit your door armed and wanting money, drugs or whatever. Your guns are only allowed three bullets because of course, you're are a law abiding citizen just wanting to protect yourself.

You miss with the first shot so can we also pass a rule that allows for a re-loading "time out"? Too late, you and perhaps a loved one are dead.

For those that think that the second amendment is about hunting, you are sadly misinformed.

You are right, in most cases, a trained hunter will only need one shot to take down a dear. But the second amendment has nothing to do with hunting. It has everything to do with protecting ones self against harm from criminals or a tyrannical government.

I'm not a hunter, and those dear that frequent my land every day have nothing to worry about. I don't view them as the threat.

My concern is for those two legged animals that wish harm against me or my family.

Restricting gun ownership or creating some arbitrary ammo restrictions doesn't make anyone safer except the criminals.

Ms Blinn -- Good questions. I disagree about knowing the limits of the 1st Amendment...it has been *refined* by the Judicial branch since the beginning. The same is true for every phrase in the Constitution. The case law is thick and dense.
