Building complaints

EDITOR:

In reviewing Civil Engineer Jim Dillingham’s story in “Butting Heads with the El Dorado County Building Department” (on Sept. 21), I suggest that he take his complaints concerning his experiences with the county building department to the El Dorado County Board of Appeals. At that time both sides could be heard. Unless there is some sort of public statement from the County Building Official, I strongly suggest that these issues be discussed with the Board of Appeals. Another suggestion is a meeting with the Professional Practices Committee of SAGE (Surveyors, Architects, Geologists and Engineers of El Dorado County).
