EDITOR: On behalf of United Outreach of El Dorado County and the clients we serve, we would like to thank some special donors who are helping us make a difference.
We are grateful to the Folsom Prison Community Outreach program charity fund drive for their extremely generous donation.
We are especially thankful for the continuing financial support of El Dorado Community Foundation, demonstrating their desire to improve the quality of life of homeless families and individuals in our community.
We further appreciate the support we receive from the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors and the Camino Seventh-day Adventist Church towards our transitional housing facility in Pollock Pines. Our newest collaboration with Marshall Hospital and ongoing cooperation with the El Dorado County Community Resource Center helps us make the most of these resources and support in serving the needs throughout the county.
Through the generous support of LifeSTEPS USA, we have expanded our programs and increased our outreach to more homeless families and individuals.
United Outreach was also a recipient of donations made to the Kids Kans food drive recently, and has had the support of the El Dorado County Food Bank throughout the year.
The hundreds of individual donations continue to sustain our successful activities, wherein 90 percent of the clients served are breaking the cycle of homelessness.
Finally, we were honored to receive the Outstanding Community Service award from the El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce at their annual dinner in December.
For the more than 100 individuals and families we serve each year at four locations, United Outreach appreciates the generosity shown by the caring people of this county.
