Christmas Parade

EDITOR:

For 34 years in the hands of the McIntire family and dedicated volunteers, the Xmas Parade has been held in every imaginable weather condition. The first year in government hands, cancelled.

Government will screw up even a dry dream.

Leave it to Mr. Tapson, to leave such a ludicrous comment. Bravo that they chose to finally cancel the Christmas Parade this year. The weather was out of hand. Main Street had no electricity, there were several places where water was collected into deep puddles and dangerous to be out on the roads. Job well done, city of Placerville, for doing the right thing & keeping our families safe. Yes, I missed not having the parade, but having my family home, safe is priceless. Maybe next year they can arrange another date too, just in case mother nature decides to bring out the best in herself and they have to postpone it.

Mr. Tapson Please go back to Gringos and drink some more alcohol and then get back into your old car and drive to the court house and do what you do best. The McIntires and the 'government' have always run the parade. Read through the permit application and see that there are several levels of people to this process. The parade was cancelled for good reasons. But your just another local idiot who cannot see that. Merry Christmas ALL
