Community service

EDITOR:

Since when does a convicted felon get to pick the type of community service he or she gets to do? Dave Machado gets to serve beer at the PDA at Brewfest and paint the numbers on the street for the PDA, this job I did for 13 years never knowing it was community service.

I know of two jobs that really need doing that he could handle:

He could put on a harness and replace the dummy on the Herrick building that was stolen.

He could get a shovel and scoop the poo out of the animal tunnel that all the animals have left on the Highway 50.

These are two jobs I feel he could handle and be a true community service.

    Is that really true, that Machado was allowed to use time spent at the Brewfest and paint numbers on the street for the Business Development Association towards the community service time he was obligated to spend under the terms of his probation? XXXX I thought the deal was that he got to build houses in Mexico with a church group, probably during the winter to coincide with a vacation. XXXX Will Machado’s time with his new government appointed position helping the homeless, after helping to make one local family homeless as part of fraudulent conduct to conceal housing code violations, also be applied to his community service time as part of his probation? ============>>>>>><<<<<<<==============
