James E.October 23, 2012 - 9:15 am
Mr. Alger, how did he look in the second and third debates?
DB SmithOctober 23, 2012 - 9:20 am
Obama still has his teleprompter Candy Cowley on the second and it was the same old everything is just "Jim Dandy" on the 3rd.
Jack MartinOctober 23, 2012 - 2:30 pm
As for subsequent debates, James, here is an interesting perspective from a foreign (and theoretically non-partisan) source. Funny, though, the words they use. They call a telemprompter an Autocue. No matter, they still get the point across. http://nation.foxnews.com/2012-presidential-debates/2012/10/04/uk-media-romney-humiliated-obama-presidential-debate
Jack MartinOctober 23, 2012 - 2:37 pm
Oooops.... I was arranging sources too quickly. The previous piece references the first debate. This is the piece I meant to reference for Monday night's debate. Conducted by CBS News, no less, hardly a right wing bastion: http://hotair.com/archives/2012/10/23/video-cbs-focus-group-in-ohio-picks-romney-the-winner/
James E.October 23, 2012 - 3:59 pm
Mr. Martin, I looked at your first source and noted FoxNews, so I didn't bother. And, your second source concerned a focus group. I conducted a focus group in my home and the consensus was that President Obama won. So where are we? Let's just wait and see what the election on November 6th tell us. After that, we can argue focus groups.
Jack MartinOctober 23, 2012 - 5:14 pm
Ignore the information if you will, sir. The first one, Fox was merely linking to (or re-reporting) the story from the UK Telegraph. And the second was not merely a bunch of Yahoos who formed a focus group and reported it on a blog. It was commissioned by CBS News. But suit yourself. Your like-minded brethren ignored and impugned the angry town hall meetings in 2009, ignored and ridiculed the Tea Party's formation that same year. You further ignored the results of the various special elections in 2009 and the general elections in 2010. All were historic Republican (and Conservative) gains. Presently, all the polling and all the data have put Romney over the top and still accelerating. But you stay happy, and keep on denying it...
CatherineOctober 23, 2012 - 5:18 pm
Mr. Longhofer, How can you so brazenly disregard such a fine looking focus group made up of "eight undecided voters in Ohio"? (Also, didn't the MD run this letter earlier, after the first debate? I could swear I've seen it before.)
