EDITOR: Politicians, beware. “Declined to State” are inclined to vote.
Both parties should be aware that from now on, longtime party members will be leaving the “Lock Step Parade” of chosen party politics. The disenfranchised voter’s battle cry normally trumpeted is: “My Party left me, I didn’t leave them.” “I’m still Conservative or I’m still Progressive. But, my party has prioritized the party’s survival over the needs of the country.” Could it all be coming home to roost?
1. Corporations are not people when it comes to the interest of the people’s needs.
2. Super PACs are not exempt from transparency and accountable in public elections.
(Please add your own gripes to this list.)
Our little county has already experienced unexpected results at the polls. Is this an exception to the parties’ rule or is it the Declined to State’s voting independent of their old parties and for their own pocket book? Have we had enough? Spin, attack ads, fibs and just outright lies? Time will tell.
I really hope this is the beginning.

A tiny number of Americans -- .26 percent -- give more than $200 to a congressional campaign. .05 percent give the maximum amount to any congressional candidate. .01 percent give more than $10,000 in any election cycle. And .000063 percent -- 196 Americans -- have given more than 80 percent of the super-PAC money spent in the presidential elections so far. Who are those 196 Americans and what do they want for that money?

Go on the Elections website....and see 20.17% of the voters are listed as DECLINE TO STATE.... That's a big portion of the population that do not like either side's stand for Corporations first.... Get a clue McClintock, Pelosi, Hoyer and McConnell.

"Mass distraction and mass mystification such as we have seen come virally and epidemically; a correction comes only slowly, and one person at a time. And there is so much money washing through the political system that political action through the traditional party system has been neutralized. To some extent, and nuances aside, Obama has pretty much presided over George W. Bush's third term. Look at the career path of Tim Geithner if you are skeptical of my claim." http://truth-out.org/opinion/item/10661-stone-cold-sober-an-interview-with-mike-lofgren-author-of-the-party-is-over
