I am not submitting an “Essay to Editor,” as seems to be the common format at present, I just thought of a way to take care of our drought problems and cure an overabundance of water problems elsewhere.

The nightly news keeps showing the flooding in England and their problem with too much water. Why couldn’t we harvest the petroleum we need here in the States and then use the super tankers to haul water from the flooded areas of England to California?

One would have to clean the tanks on the tankers or line them with plastic. Then we could park one in San Pedro/Long Beach harbor and another in San Diego harbor, and connect them to the associated water supplies after purification of any contaminants that gets picked up in the tankers tanks. Then all one has to do is make continual runs to England to replenish the tankers.
