Economy article

EDITOR:

The interview, on the front page, of Dr. Paul Craig Roberts on the economy, should be required reading by every voter, except, maybe, John Garon. John would probably write that his research found that Dr. Roberts was an undocumented day worker who got his Ph.D. in a Cracker Jacks box.

Anybody that must buy groceries or anything else, for their daily living, knows that the government is lying to us when they say that the economy is improving and that there is no inflation. While both presidents mentioned could be excused for making bad decisions which adversely affect the economy, the bold-faced lying is unconscionable.

Fortunately, the results of this poor economy is beginning to hit us where the rubber meets the road — right in our pocketbooks. As it gets worse, as it must, it will become obvious to everyone where the problem is and the voters will seek to remedy it at the polls. It should be a real blood letting. I am recommending to everyone I know, that they read this article and to vote in November. If you think that your vote doesn’t count, you are delusional.

Yes, Byron I read Mr. Robert's bio (His write up doesn't say he has a Doctorate, but he might have got one lately.).... Let's put his bio into perspective.... Worked with Congressman Kemp (So did Paul Ryan).... Kemp a devout follower of Ayn Rand's philosophy.... of (Her words) "NOT taking care of yourself FIRST is EVIL." (Mike Wallace interview 1959)..... Mr. Roberts also works at the CATO Institute (Koch Brothers supported).... who are also Ayn Rand followers.... Ayn Rand said that Robber barons should NOT be regulated.... I believe that our government established by the U.S. Constitution was designed to PROTECT and SERVE (yes, those words are actually in the constitution) the PEOPLE..... Back then Corporations were kept in check..... now the constitution protects Corporations and keep the people in check... Remember "We the People" part?

I wonder why the Tea Party folks are so upset with Garon's letters. Could it be that they see them as a threat.. Like Michael Moore said, the righties are like dinosaurs, they know they are going extinct and will fight like mad to survive..Garon's logic just may be a great threat to them.

Mr. Ryan, I agree, as I believe the Tea Party has reached its high water mark and will now fade into the mists.

While I'm not a member of the Tea Party, I think Garon's letters bug kinda bug people because it seems he only writes them for the attention he maybe didn't get as a child....

I think he writes them to bring some reason and light to EDC. #8

I think Mr. Garon writes his letters because he has nothing else to do and is apparently incapable of listening to anyone else. Rational people would evaluate a letter that contradicts theirs, and perhaps learn something from it. Mr, Garon seems to just fire back without thinking. You can't tell him anything because he already knows everything. If the others who have a problem with Mr. Garon are like me, we appreciate his right to write his letters, but we sure are tired of someone who won't listen or try to reach common ground. He is just tiresome and I wish he had another hobby. He doesn't even make sense half the time.

For those of you who loved the Roberts article in the MtDemocrat that the recovery wasn't happening (Boo Obama, booooooooo). I give you from the IMF: It expects a 3.7 percent increase in global output, up from 3 percent last year, thanks largely to a strengthening U.S. economy. The agency predicted U.S. growth of 2.8 percent in 2014, up from an estimated 1.9 percent last year. (cheering Obama, cheering, cheeeeeeering). Wonder if this will appear in the Mt.Democrat? Or does the MtDemocrat just publish stuff knocking the president?????

If you can't come up with facts to support your argument .... slam the guy who doesn't agree with you.... John Garon.... His facts Wrong? No. .... Sorry James..... The Mt. Democrat can't handle a Pro-Obama article.... or we would have seen one by now..
