EID’s bull

EDITOR:

I have lived in this county since birth … and now that I am an adult and rate paying citizen and have been observing the craziness that overflows from EID, I am just amazed at how ignorant the “leaders” at EID must think we are. I read the newsletter and because not enough people wrote in to protest any rate height “we are all pleased with your performance and rate height decisions.” Really? No matter how many people within this county write in, the word manipulaters at EID will find a way to increase rates while maintianing the high standards of employee pensions, insurance, retirement and perks and passing the cost off to the rate payers who are trying to maintain reasonably green landscapes — no matter how small, who are on fixed incomes (many in the Placerville area) or working double jobs. I have watched the money spent at EID headquarters and the waste watching the employees “work,” well one working and several watching. What a ripoff of the longtime rate payers of the EID County area. Come on EID admin. … be real!

At last, someone else gets it! Over 50% of EID customers were required to mail in a protest to the last rate hike in order to stop it. EID knows that people are too busy trying to make a living, or are just plain ignorant to take such action. Then EID comes out with it's newsletter praising itself on the good work it has done, and that customers overwhelmingly agreed to the rate hike since there was little protest. What a bunch of bull. We have to vote these jerks out of office.
