Not fooled by parks and trails

EDITOR: The Marble Valley and Lime Rock subdivisions are good examples of the destruction of our rural life style. They propose thousands more homes on the south side of Highway 50 where there is an inadequate water supply, impacted roads and few services. Just think of the resulting traffic jams on Highway 50 with people going to and from jobs in Sacramento.

The combination of Bill Parker and Bob Gallo have billions of dollars available to grease the skids for these developments only to increase their own wealth. Consider the costs of these projects to the rest of the county residents.

They will take our valuable water to supply this grandiose development at a huge increase in water costs to all of us. Our water already costs double what it should because of inadequate planning and less and less water available. Now with a proposed additional drain to the west all of our existing residents will see even highter costs. Huge developments like these should not be allowed in our county especially when built on the backs of our residents, many of whom are senior citizens living on fixed incomes.

Don’t let the parks and trails fool you, this is an environmental disaster.
