Election season has begun

By From page A5 | March 12, 2014

Well, whaddya know. It is already political season, and even now, we are being given the opportunity to know who we can trust and who we cannot trust. This is a very important election for El Dorado County. Land-use decisions will be made that will affect housing density, job opportunities and road congestion. These are decisions that will, most likely, never be undone in our lifetimes, so we better get it right.

I plan on casting my vote for someone with integrity, who is an ethical person, who listens to the people, and plays by the rules.

It is for that reason that I was shocked to see a sign from Mike Ranalli already being prominently displayed before the date allowed by our county ordinance. He already lost my trust — and my vote. If he is going to be sneaky and play dirty, what underhanded tricks is he going to do to me and the rest of his constituents?

I’m tired of politics as usual. I want someone with integrity, someone who believes in transparency in government. For me, it is too soon to know who that candidate is, but I do know who it is not. It is not Mike Renalli.
