To Cameron Park Board of Directors Stanton, Clarke, McNeil and Tucker:
When you went in to the Sept. 20, 2012 board meeting you were faced with a budget with a $51,000 deficit. As per the General Manager’s request you increased the deficit by an additional $30,000 by increasing the budget for legal fees by $10,000 and contract services by $20,000. What I want is an answer as to why you thought that the adding $30,000 to the CSD’s deficit was a good idea? What do you hope to achieve by spending $80,000 we don’t have? Where do you intend to get these $80,000? Are you four going to get out your checkbooks and make up this shortfall? Why on earth would you vote in favor of a budget with a $50,000 deficit in the first place? How are you being fiscally responsible? Did you even bother to have the General Manager outline what she would do with the additional $30,000 in deficit spending that you approved? What will she do with these additional phantom dollars? And as I shouted as I left the meetings “don’t come to my house to collect for these deficits” you have created them so you figure out a way to manage them without raising taxes.
