Grain of salt

EDITOR:

Today’s letter by El Dorado County’s “know it all” John Garon, chastising the Mountain Democrat’s Mike Raffety, brought a chuckle. Maybe before you continue to bore us with your usual diatribe, Mr. Garon, you should go back to grammar school and learn how to spell, or better yet learn who you are writing about, re: JP Morgan Chase’s Chairman.

You wrote on more than one occasion, so it wasn’t a typo, the name Jamie Diamond. His name Mr. Garon is Jamie Dimon. I guess we can take anything else you bore us with as a Garon grain of salt.

Wayne, I suspect that gentleness is in order with John Garon. His misspelling of Mr. Dimon is likely due to his being infused with "Sweet Caroline's" urbane Neil Diamond - continental darling and fellow traveler.

You all shouldn't be too mean about Mr Garon's Diamond fox pox. Without his thing on delusions our new favorite Vern would never have been born.

Mr. Woolsey YOU need to go back to school and learn that the misspelling of someones name has nothing to do with grammar or spelling. Sorry sir if that is all you can get Mr. Garon on than his points most definitely are valid!

That's right. Misspelling has nothing to do with spelling. Awesome logic there!

My apologies to Jamie Dimon. Woolsey sounds like the typical right-wing sorehead. He has no substantive counter-argument to my letter, so he focuses on a trivial matter, a gambit that exemplifies the Right's ability to manufacture pseudo-outrage over nothing.

David, I am attempting to decipher your rational thinking skills. Let me see if I follow you correctly. garon scratches out one of his diatribe laced salvos, where even correctly identifying the butt of his malicious maligning is too much trouble for him. And you claim (in his defense) that the importance of correctly identifying the individual he is targeting, has no bearing on what ever else his ramblings may have been. Therefore all of his other ramblings must be valid. Do I understand you correctly? Do you comprehend why I make the point that emotions don't think?

A diatribe is a bitter attack on someone or something. John Garon does not write diatribes. I know, because as a younger man, I wrote vicious diatribes until my editor told me to knock it off -- all I was doing was turning off the reader after my first sentence. A wise editor. Nothing that John Garon has ever written qualifies as a diatribe. You can disagree with him, but please not with your own diatribe.

James, I am no fan of Chris Christie but here is an example of class compared with a typical leftist loon who is in a continuous attack mode. Which is all the left is these days. http://www.ijreview.com/2013/10/85842-agree-policies-christie-crushes-woman-place-shed-rather/

Wayne Woolsey, the misspelled name is easily explainable. Being fed what the leftist media offers thru pmsnbc, npr and all the other mind numbing outlets of audio/video indoctrination, never offered the crayon king the opportunity to actually see the name in print, so the misspelling was a result of assuming the spelling due to the pronunciation he has heard.
