EDITOR:
The President said he will hire more IRS agents to ensure everyone has health insurance. This means “everyone” will be required to fill out a tax form. A tax form requires social security numbers including all dependents. The IRS will double check “all” social security numbers. A tax form requires “all” income including workman’s comp, security payment food stamps (a government gift), housing assistance, heating oil assistance, tips, gifts, and so on. This looks like big brother checking on everyone. No exception. If the social security numbers don’t check out an IRS audit will be required. A false statement can be big trouble.

Mr. Knutson, if you would just support Medicard for All, none of this would be necessary. May we count on your support?

Mr. Knutson: I believe the ACA will work like RomneyCare does in Massachusetts. When tax time comes, your insurance provider sends you a form verifying that you have insurance. If you file online, you simply have to put down the name of your insurer and the number you'll find on the form you're sent. Ditto for paper filers. It takes about one minute of your time. No Big Brother. No sweat!

My money says, Mr. Knutson has some sort of Health Care and a Social Security Number already. I'll even bet he files his income tax also --> He's already in the system... Right? Big Brother already has your number, Mr. Knutson .... and I bet that all happened BEFORE Obama became President.

I totally agree with you. You’ve definitely had my point as well. It’s like you’ve read my mind. I was even planning to write quite similar post like this to share with the public especially to those who are also interested with this matter. Great post! Now, I’m left with only subscribing to your post and reading all of your writings. Thank you for this very informative and helpful post.

What have you got to hide Mr. Knutson? What’s the harm? Privacy rights have already been eroded. Under a previous Republican administration the SSA disclosed Social Security numbers to the private sector until public outrage halted the activity in 1989. Much of our lives is recorded in data files - where and when we travel, what Web sites we visit, what ails us, what we buy, when we pay our bills. Standardization of driver's license security features and sharing with federal agencies and state law enforcement, makes the driver's license a de facto national identity card. The use of the Social Security number (SSN) has expanded significantly since its inception in 1936. Created merely to keep track of the earnings history of U.S. workers for Social Security entitlement and benefit computation purposes, it has come to be used as a nearly universal identifier. But that’s not what you should fear Mr. Knutson, under George W. Bush a National ID card was proposed, much like the one the Third Reich in Nazi Germany used which enabled the racial categorization of Jews by requiring them to carry such an ID card. To put it simply Mr. Knutson, the Health Care plan use of your Social Security number doesn’t start a new column, it just adds to your existing column and many if not most of the IRS agents already exist and are just assigned new duties.
