Don't forget the Tennesee Creek project at Green Valley Road and North Shingle. That little project has been going on for years.

The MF crew must be the same ones that did EDH. Re: Tennessee Creek, I approached a green light this morning going south. Mine was the only vehicle in sight. After I crossed the bridge, the light turned red necessitating a rapid stop. I had to dutifully wait for non-traffic to clear the intersection. Great programming. Thanks also to CalDOT as I love burning fuel to accelerate. Makes my oil stock more valuable. Anyone notice the frequent evening rush hour backups at the eastern termination of the HOV lanes just past Bass Lake Rd. The elites in the HOV lanes just have to drive to the very end before merging thus negating for all the benefit of having the HOV lane.

What a bunch of whiners. Somebody needs a nap.
TerrySeptember 15, 2012 - 12:29 pm
Whining, eh. We all paid good money for HOV lanes that were reserved by the ECO snobs in the legislature to reward behavior they approve of. It’s called social engineering. What we got is underutilized lanes that cause more traffic jams than they eliminate. The morning commute backups at EDH and farther on because entering car poolers are “entitled” to be in the HOV lane. As a result traffic slows down and backs up due to this crossing pattern. The bulk of the through traffic is prevented from moving to the far left to clear the merging traffic. Once traffic is slowed, the capacity of the highway drops dramatically and does not recover for some distance. The same thing happens during the evening rush when entitled exiting HOV vehicles remain in their lane until just before their exit or the end of the lane. Traffic would flow much smoother if the HOV restrictions were eliminated. When traffic slows and must accelerate, excess fuel consumption and resultant pollution occur. But we are supposed to shut up, stop whining, and accept the ineffective and counterproductive social engineering imposed upon us by government.
