I got an e-mail from Jerry Brown

EDITOR:

Today I received an e-mail from Jerry Brown. I think the governor, although it did not say. The important thing is that I have only had this e-mail for five months and sent it out to some people, and filled in some forms, none of which were political. So I guess the guv stole my e-mail address and I guess everything is shared in common in California. Oh, here it is…

Dear William,

In the last five years, California has massively cut its schools and increased tuition at our universities and community colleges.

That has to stop! Will you take the pledge to save our schools and stop tuition hikes?

Without Proposition 30, tuition at California colleges will increase by thousands of dollars and weeks of class will be cut from our public schools.

In 8 days, you get to decide.

With your YES vote on Prop. 30, we can:

Stop another $6 billion in cuts to our schools and colleges this year.
Prevent steep tuition hikes for college students.
Keep the California Dream alive.

Let’s invest in our children, their future and a prosperous California.

Stop the layoffs of teachers. Stop tuition hikes that are blocking college access.

Vote YES on Prop. 30.

Best,

Jerry Brown
