Illegal campaign signs

By From page A5 | April 09, 2014

What could be a more important consideration for suitable characteristics of a candidate for public office than their knowledge and integrity? A reliable indicator of this is, “Have they taken the trouble to determine the city and county regulations concerning campaign signs?” Do they and their supporters care enough to abide by those regulations, or do they just ignore them because others have violated the law?

Again this year we have candidates scattering their signs illegally on public road rights of way, on public and private property without permission. This has proven to be a good indicator that we get what we vote for. It’s an indicator that overrides their promises, their campaign fliers and speeches.
