Integrity

EDITOR:

As a resident of the 4th Supervisorial District I was shocked to read on Scott McNeil’s Website for his upcoming run for the Board of Supervisors that his “plan is simple, yet very ambitious: Bring trust, respect and accountability back to this office.”

I take this as a direct insult to Supervisor Ron Briggs. Supervisor Briggs has not broken the trust and has always been very respected by his constituents, and he is one of the most accountable supervisors El Dorado County has ever had.

Scott McNeil should go back to irritating the people of Cameron Park with his asinine bullying behavior at the CSD board meetings and not go around insulting a truly fine man like Ron Briggs.

So many tangled webs in this. It seems to me the reasons he is running, if he does follow through this time, should be directed against Nutting's spot where he was going to run as any comments about "restoring integrity" would be a current better fit, but last time he suddenly dropped out, after some residency questions, and endorsed Nutting. So his ability to judge character should be judged with that in mind. I am sure there is more to this by people better informed around Cameron Park, however after suddenly dropping out last election in District 2 and endorsing Nutting, what does he say now about his buddy? I say the same for anyone who endorsed Nutting and Knight last time. Shouldn't they realize now how much trouble could of been avoided by voting both out, instead of one, and how should their ability to judge character be viewed now? How about their past endorsements? People should look carefully behind the scenes as these birds of a feather are usually found together.

Wow. Both 10-22 Frank and the letter writer are off base. It was an intent to decieve, an illegal action not just some "residency questions". I wonder if a grand jury was called to investigate? Psst..Frank-o. A candidate for the BoS MUST LIVE in the district, not almost in the district or cherry pick a district in running for the office. Ah, integrity is indeed a two way street. I am not so sure that the county is ready to build a statue for Mr. Briggs in front of the new courthouse, just as an example. Being beholden to former BoS elected types with backing from the former's special interest groups is another small problem for the statue project. District 4 already has 7 or 8 potential or announced candidates and at least that many voting fiefdoms from tip to tip. Mr McNeil has plenty of competition for the position and Janis will have a range of options to succeed the accountable one. Thankfully, the voting booth will sort this one out.

Integrity,,,I hope many items will be looked at by the Grand Jury. why unelected groups are not following the brown act. why some nonprofits are no transparent. why some groups are now asking nonprofits to write under their name ( I know CEDAPP has...shhhhhhhhhhh Harper ) I want to know why a CAO has so much power--did someone vote for her? I want someone to look into why A master final plan is okay with only nine people giving their community comments (shouldnt the meeting have been rescheduled--when you noticed only nine people?) I want to know why some businesses think it is okay to display a nonprofits map over any other nonprofits flyer--isnt that favoritism? I want to know why the BOS is allowing the economic groups to present false numbers to a public...integrity. Grand Jury--the peoples court. Well "community"...keep filing those concerns. To my community. Watch your backs...when the walls fall down--who supported this mess? Who brought it into our town? Dave are you reading?

To my neighbors in Pollock Pines...I just filed a Grand Jury report. follow the link...scroll down to" file a report". Even if you feel something is just not right--and dont have any paperwork behind it--file it anyway. If you are confused about why one groups name seems to be spreading all over town...describe it. http://www.edcgov.us/GrandJury/?terms=file%20a%20grand%20jury%20report. If you have been threatened with your store rights...file it. If someone has come to you asking for donations for their group--but want the check in another's name--file it. The walls will come down. I filed a report and fight back in honor of all those people kind enough to give me donations for the library--I am still so sorry they spent it on carpet for a county building. During the three years I was on board--none of those people helped my group...Harper was never there. all these people, in these groups selling their souls for grants...shame on you--you forgot the people.

I am not sure what delusional world you are living in? Ron Briggs is probably one of the worst and most dishonest Supervisors we have had. He lacks integrity. I need not go into his family’s County court house project corruption that is building and developing a family real estate project on the back of taxpayers. Ron believes that the rules don’t apply to him. Don’t worry, the State and Feds are now investigating him for that. Then there was the childish letter he wrote about Nutting to deflect from his corruption issues. Just look at the unprofessional way Ron Briggs conducts himself at every Board of Supervisors meeting, shutting people down that have a right to speak, standing up and walking out on public speakers, childish rants and threats like a spoiled little child. Just watch the online video with Briggs yelling at our Sheriff. This man is nothing more than a spoiled little child that has been riding Daddy’s coat tails for far too long. The public perception is that Briggs isn’t that smart, but one only need watch him in action a few times to figure that out. His actions speak louder than words, driving around in a big Mercedes, living in a 7,000sf house and not paying his City sewer and water bill for 5 years which accumulated to nearly $25,000 before the City slapped a lien on his property. The Sheriff had to serve a collections lien on him not long ago at his house. Do you really want this morally challenged corrupt little man in charge of your County? Don't believe me? Go pull the Superior Court File PV20110322, this is one of the parcels next to the new Court House project in Ron's dad's name that Ron was speculating on and didn't pay, so Union Bank foreclosed on him.

Janis, what incentive did Briggs give you to write this BS letter (i.e. Bureaucratic Shenanigans)? You need to get a grip on reality. “I take this as a direct insult to Supervisor Ron Briggs.” Who cares what you think Janis, given Ron’s behavior and lack of creditability over the years I would guess there are a lot more insults to come, many well deserved.

Refer to the 9/10 BOS Open Forum and listen to all the speakers: http://eldorado.granicus.com/MediaPlayer.php?view_id=2&clip_id=264 *transcript & documents were entered into the public record. Excerpt from Transparency, Accountability and Ethics, "The Brown Act provides citizens broad Constitutional liberties. This little poem found in my daddy's Bible epitomizes JimBo's point of choosing your elected representatives carefully: Choose your companions carefully For they can influence you In everything you think and say And all you strive to do. Be careful of the serpent that May snare you into sin, The tempting tongue with promises That you are sure to win. Select the better ones who seem To have your kind of feather As birds of similar design Are known to flock together. And stay with them through every flight, Let no one interfere As you are conscientious and In every way sincere. Companionship is only good If it is good for you; So if you have the slightest doubt Do look for someone new.

While working for a candidate for 2010 Senate I learned a valuable lesson the hard way: NEVER endorse a candidate for office! The lesson again became a reality while interviewing the 7 candidates for EDC Sheriff. Voters beware: ALL candidates for public office have baggage that will be under public scrutiny before, during and after election. Watch out when 'it' finally hits the fan. Examine all 7 candidates for Dist. #4 carefully before you waste your vote.

Janis, just sit back and smoke another bowl. Ron Briggs is the Jerry Springer of El Dorado County. The one thing he has in common with McNeil is their ability to believe their own lies and think that nobody notices. Of course, that has been the key to success for quite a few bottom feeders that still populate buildings on Fair Lane. Zombies....
