Edoitor-I have been reading letters from folks who cherry-pick passages from the Bible to justify a political point of view. They seem to believe that not following their selected biblical scripture is a sin.
Did you know that eating a cheeseburger is a sin? Also it is a sin to eat sirloin steak, leg of lamb, barbecued spareribs, shrimp, lobster, crab, clams, oysters, scallops, duck, goose, catfish and sturgeon. If you don’t believe me, look it up in Leviticus, Chapter 11. I must confess that I am a sinner because I have a fondness for scallops and crab.
Please folks, use the holy book to to restore your soul and to find faith. Using the Bible to validate your political agenda and then inferring that others who do not comply with your politics are sinners is nonsense.
By the way, you can eat mac and cheese with a glass of chardonnay, that’s okay.

I totally agree with your point Mr. Zelinka, just wish you hadn't named all my favorite foods...I'm currently in the middle of a "Chicago Dog" and a Miller Highlife, but I figure I'm already destined fry in Hell anyway....

Hell would seem a good place to BBQ hot dogs, with all the fire and brimstone. Chicago dogs are so ladled with stuff they don't even taste like hot dogs. Mustard, onions, relish, and maybe ketchup (for the gourmet) are desired. Beyond that it becomes a salad dog. Wonder if Mitt has ever had a hot dog, Chicago or otherwise?

Great point Mr. Zelinka. It is a shame how many people twist the word of the bible in many situations to fit their needs. James, the Mitt dog would be strips of filet on a baguette with grey poupon and cornichons on the side. Eaten Trump style with a fork and knife, mind you...

"The whole history of these books (i.e. the Gospels) is so defective and doubtful that it seems vain to attempt minute enquiry into it: and such tricks have been played with their text, and with the texts of other books relating to them, that we have a right, from that cause, to entertain much doubt what parts of them are genuine. In the New Testament there is internal evidence that parts of it have proceeded from an extraordinary man; and that other parts are of the fabric of very inferior minds. It is as easy to separate those parts, as to pick out diamonds from dunghills." Source: Letter of Thomas Jefferson to John Adams, January 24, 1814.
